Suspicion of metallic filaments: Auchan, Super U, Casino steaks recalled

Be careful, if you intend to cook a Bolognese sauce or burgers, check the meat you bought! Minced steaks are suspected of containing metallic filaments. The company Elvia issued a press release relayed by Auchan or Carrefour, applying the precautionary principle, and calls for the withdrawal of the sale of its products. It would be an "anomaly" on one of the "production lines" not allowing "to completely exclude the risk of the presence of a small fragment of metallic filament the thickness of a hair in some trays". No complaints have been made to date, but the company is asking consumers to return the products. A number is available, 0800 945 235.

These lots of meat have been sold at Auchan, Super U, Carrefour, and Casino. The Allah platform publishes the list of affected lots at three of these brands. For Auchan, the list of lots is available here, also relayed by 60 Million Consumers. Customers in possession of these products can bring them back to the store.

Lots of cold meats recalled a few days ago

A few days ago, lots of cured meats were recalled. Cooked ham, mortadella, or even prosciutto are concerned. Carrefour has put out a notice, fearing possible contamination with listeria. Remember that this disease presents serious risks, especially for pregnant, elderly, and immunocompromised people. The company Fumagalli carried out this recall which therefore concerns several products and which can be viewed here.
